ZX7 undertail so far...

Postby mattyv74 » Fri Jun 18, 2004 8:08 pm

Hey Guys, I've done a little work on the tail each day for the last week or so. I,ve got to the stage where I'm ready to finish the surface and mould it. Any ideas or comments are welcome coz once I've painted it, it's a bit late to make changes easily.
I've tried to keep the line simple and clean. There is no accomodation for a number plate light. This coz I'll use an LED one, some people will want to keep the standard one and trackm bikes don't have em at all. They are easily modifies before painting any way.
What do you tink, HONESTLY???

Yep, looks nice and smooth and neat, just the way a good undertail should. Can't wait to see the finished product all painted and fitted!!

What the hell is that made from anyway???

Number plate will be mounted on a separate aluminum or carbonfibre bracket. Have to finish this first before I can do that though. It will accomodate indicators as well, but I'm thinkinking of incorperating my indicators in behind stop light lense.

Gotta get the tail in the bike befor I can do any of that. So that means the bike will be off the road for a week or so while wait for resins and stuff to dry. But atleast it's winter and it'll be all good come next summer. :D
