2011 Australian ZX10R - First touch!!!

I've seen it.. sat on it...wheeled it,, but not ridden it unfortunately because the fuel's drained and it in it's crate by now heading for Melbourne.

Ozzie No.1 is lime green with ebony and the first thing you feel is how light it is compared with my 08 - no petrol may help somewhat but it feels like a 600. Second impression is the cleaned up indicators - facing forward inside the front mirror bubble rather than dangling from the arm. Flush mounted into the seat cowl at the rear instead of stalks off the licence plate. Our unique DOT contribution to the arts - the licence plate extension arm = looks much tidier as a result but most of us will decide it has to go - sorry!

Can't wait to get a ride when the press models are available but the smug looks on thr Kwaka staff suggest we're not going to be disappointed with performance.

The faired Z1000 called the Ninja 1000 will also be at Melbourne but the show stealer could well be the new W800 - the upsized bevel drive air-cooled twin which will give Triumph a run for its money and have the Ulysses members trading in their Velocettes. It's a beautiful engineeering masterpiece with real metal parts and a faux carburettor!

I really like the W800. If its a reasonable price when it becomes available, one may very well end up parked between the ZRX and the Z250.

W800 looks lubley in the flesh.

That seat is old school - so are the tyres. Still like the Trumpet too though ;)

And here's the real thing - just in time for the trip to PI for WSBK! Only issue is the muffler drone is giving me the sh...s. Rather than an aftermarket slip-on, anyone got expereince in tampering with this horn - it looks cool and there must be some post-market modification instead of paying $$$$ for a Yoshi or Akra?

Sensible replies please....

have you looked at buying of the yoshi website?
only couple hundred of dollars for a can without the retailer price which is double, and with the dollar so good it'd prob be better than paying some one to tinkewr with the baffles

Thanks. I had an R55 Yoshi on the 08 and loved it's growly sound and shorty look. Let's see how I feel after the PI trip at the end of the month.

I don't have this issue.
I can't hear my exhaust over the airbox noise, which is not loud. Then again my 10 hasn't seen a straight road to hold a constant rev.

Other than removing the cat and installing a power commander I can only think of removing the bark arrestor box replacing it with a link pipe and making a long drill extension and punch through any of the baffles.

I had a quick look down the muffler, baffles are all in the box. So I don't know what to suggest.
