Hai peeps, just wanted to know if any of you's have used these tires on a 1000cc bike and what your thoughts were on them..
How did they perform in the wet and dry, and what kind of life did you get out of them..
Another thing, as im only up for a rear tire is it a bad idea to have miss matched tires?
I currently run bridgestone battleaxe 016r hypersport on the front and rear, and see no need to get rid of a front tire thats still got life in it..
Im guesing that ill get at least another 3 months out of the front then purchase for the front aswell to make a set..
Your thoughts would be apprieciated :)

i personally think running different tyres front to rear is fine. ive never had a problem. even running slick rear and treaded fronts.

Blurr used the dunlops on the way to pi and gave them an absulute work out, he liked them, but life was fairly short.

do a search, there is a boke selling them on here, he did a write up of his thoughts,.

Thinking these are the OEM tyres ? (if not on later models, then certainly on the 07). I used them until they were worn out, and at my wobbling speeds couldn't fault them.

If you're looking for a cheap tyre to get you though, I have a barely used rear (one track day at pretty slow speeds) - see http://ksrc-au.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=29000

Cheers,
Brian

different tyre Brian. The Q2 is the new version of the qualifer.

I rate the Q2's highly and I ran the BT016's before that.

The main difference I will point out is.
- The Q2 has better and quicker tip in compared to the Bridgy
- The Bridgy will ten to wheel spin a bit more where the Dunlop will hold steady.
- The front Dunlop hoop will last a lot longer than the Bridgy. I used to get 1 to 1 with the 016's mainly because I would chew the soft sides of the front away within 4-5k kms and the same with the rear.

Try em out for yourself, I reakon you wont go back. Totally different tyre to the previous Quailifers which incedently I really disliked ;) ;)

Ah - I live and learn :) Since my bike is now track-only, I'm unlikely to be giving them a go, but thanks for the tip anyway Blurr. Gotta say, I really like the original Qualifiers ; mind you, if anyone said I rode like an old woman they'd just be insluting a lot of old women ...

Cheers,
Brian
