Been perving at the new 09 zx6rs, starting to like the shape and the alienish/buggish headlights. What do you folks think? anyone ridden both?

09 kicks ass! 06 is a good bike but the 09 is a weapon

It seems like a weapon, dunno about the price tag though

awesome brakes & looks with the 09 ZX6R dunno about power never ridden them both but know the brakes are great on the 09 & the 06 ones are spongy as all hell

Owned the 05 (same as the 06) and rode the 2009 for a week or so, the 05 has more torque and mid range with out question, but I think the 09 is a better bike.

The 09 is getting up in to the early ZX10 territory performance wise, fells like a 250 to throw around in the tight stuff and is very confidence inspiring to ride (although if you get it wrong you will be severely punished). Looks wise the 2005/06 wins hands down (IMHO) and if I was covering any sort of distances, I'd want the 05/06.

Depends what u want form it a road bike or track bike?

Road bike - go the '06 u can add the '09 brakes from a wrecker easy mod and much improved, i did mine and best mod so far.

Track bike - the '09 for sure. Steering and suspension are excellent along with the stock brakes.

No offence though i take it your coming off a ZX2R both bike will be more than enough to give u brown stains for years to come on the road and def on the track, save your coin buy the '06 add some mods and you won't regret it.

When I was racing pushies, I had bikes that cost way more than my motorbikes ever have!

LOL I'm cheap.... but wtf you bought push bikes for $10000??

i think ill go for a 06, they are the best so far for the $$ I'm willing to spend, buying new sucks with depreciation and all.
also test rode a 05 R6 today, it was very good. Wish i could ahve taken it out longer

yea theres a few 09 ones, don't want to spend too much timo

one thing i've noticed is a heap of 05/06 zx6r's with 5k klm on em . thought bikes were ment to be ridden

yea those are the ones im hoping to get, a low K one for a lower price it'll be like buying new , so are you going to get the white 09 model?
