ZX6R Questions (06 model)

Hi all,

Soon ill be a new owner of a 2006 zx6r, however ive got a few questions with regards to parts and accessories.

Firstly, i want a seat cowl. This being a superseded model, can i still go through kwaka to get one or will i have to go second hand? Also, is it easy to change between seat and seat cowl?

Windscreens, i want to get a tinted double bubble but there are a lot of options out there. Ive read up on a few and im a little worried about the fitting (being flush and not a couple mm off). I want a GP style double bubble screen.

Fairing, the lower fairing is black on all models (except the RR). Mine, being kawasaki green and not an RR, i want to get the lower fairing in green. Can i simply get the RR version and bolt it on?

Fender eliminator, eventually ill probably get a full exhaust (which is the next question), but i wanted to know if 1 FE fits all mufflers?

Exhausts. Initially i was planning on getting an 03 model 6r (love that tail! Prefer side mufflers), but this 06 model come up and was a pretty good deal. I love screamers. Which exhaust system would do the trick? Also, can i get an after market side muffler option for the 06 model??


I think thats about all the questions, for now at least. If any of you have experience with any of this, or know where to go to get info, any help would be appreciated!

overall you will be still able to get all parts orginal from Kawa if you want to pay through the nose. However I suggest the following

Screen and Cowl you should be able to get from ebay. I have bought 3 screens from ebay over the last year and have had not had a drama with any.

Fender eliminator is the same. None should disturb the exhaust if it made for the 06. Ebay is alot chaeper and there is no difference features to the expensive ones.

I would assume the belly pan bolts on and you could get from Kawa (the cost wont be pretty I might add).

I know that Muzzy made a side mount exhaust for the 06-07 zx10r but not sure about the 6r. so give them a try.
