I've got a 05 ZX10R

I'm currently looking for spares for the 10 and would like to know what parts from the 06 ZX10R can be fitted to the 04 05 model

Seems thats the bits and bobs that I'm looking for in terms of 05 year specific are a bit hard to come by at the mo but some searchs come up for the 06 gumby.
Will gumby parts be fine for the crim?

WILL IT MAKE IT GO SLOWER lol *jk*

I'm thinking that its all good to go to '07 but before I end up making the mistake of buying parts that wont fit, seeking all your expert knowledge

Tks

f/brake lever is different as the gumby and above have radial mount!!!
r/brake lever is also different on all 3 models even though Kawasaki.com lists the same part no.:x (found out the hard way)
rearsets are all different also
I think the clip ons are the same

pretty much all different (sorry)

Best part to interchange is put ZX14 or 07 08 ZX6R Nissin brake Calipers on it then you will have the best brakes on a motorbike :D

?

can this also be done to the ZX6R 05? Are the caliper mounting bolt distances the same, and is the depth to the centre of disc distance the same? are 05-06 and 07-08 rotors interchangeable as well?

sorry for the many questions, this intrigues me...

Be careful with the clip ons, they may be different.
04/05 have the location screws to the inside of the forks (closest to the headstem).
06/07 have the factory Ohlins steering damper mount to the top yoke on the RH side. From memory the location screw on the RH side clip on is moved around to the rear of the fork (closest to the rider) to make room for the mount. Plus the bars are mounted lower on the forks by the thickness of the mount. I can't remember if the difference is made up by the thickness of the top yoke or by different heights on the location screw holes.
If the clip ons are different you could still run them using the 06/07 top yoke. This would also allow you to run the factory Ohlins set up. Much neater than the aftermarket Ohlins set up on my 05 ZX10R - which looks trick, just not as neat as factory. 8)

Hope this helps.

Best regards,
Anthony
