Stock should be 170hp at the crank, 158 at the rear wheel ain't too bad.

Sounds about right to me !
It took a PCIII, pipes and a/f to get mine to 164.46 rwh.
More interested in trying to make better traction than get more power as is the case with most thou's these days !

Did the PC3 make it any smoother?

Personally i have no issues with how it delivers the power, there's no blips or bumps it's just smooth and (almost) linear all the way to redline.

Putting pipes on gave my bike a bit of a lagging low rpm roll-on so the PCIII helped for that but the difference from standard pipes would be very small and in my mind not necessary unless you're planning other mods.

when we had 3 04/05 10's ont eh dyno in sydney, all the had slip ons, no pc3's and all 3 were around 154-155 HP

Narellan Kwak had an 06 10, with about 500km on it (i think) dead stock, it got 160hp.

the 06-07's have a bit more up top, and are a bit smoother and refined right through. 8)

Don't dyno results vary widely with different dynos/isn't there an SAE correction factor? Are we comparing apples with apples? I'm not saying which is which, but Daffy could have a harsh dyno and Wattie's might be more optimistic, or vice versa.

Yes it certainly is variable between dyno's, even the same dyno on the same day. I'm not sure if they applied any SAE correction factor, i didn't want to sound nerdy when i got the run done.
It's a figure i keep in mind, if i ever get any mods done then i've got a starting point.

yeah all dyno's vary, bestt hign to do daffy is head back to the same one when you do mods.

i only ourr results in to compare, seeing how our were all done on same dyno one after another. 8)

There can be a huge variation between dynos. I had my 12 dynoed at one place and it read 168hp, then I took it to another place where it showed 158.
It's like Wattie said, make sure you keep going back to the same dyno.

my zed read 122.6 at that dyno with the akro's, 125odd at serco's, 125 at LAE and with debaffled pipes 129 at Springwood suzuki (same pipe setup as the springwood suzuki run only rated 120at Pro K ipswich, same day daffy did his), yes it does read low :)
