Raptors&Rockets are speculating that the big K may launch another ZX-750R bored and stroked to 793cc hence the ZX-8R.They claim it makes sense as the 07 ZX6R will drop to 599cc and Suzuki is doing well with the GSX-750R at no expense to the 600 or thou.
What do you guys think I reckon 750-800 is the best size engine for the road and if it has all the good parts on it (800cc moto gp throw-back!)it will be Kawasakis best sportsbike

I've heard the same. I love my 750's and can't wait wait to see what kind of technology and configurations filters through to production bikes.

My ZX7R was more bike than I will eva need...

these rumours have been going around for a few years now.

The first time i heard the kwaka was gonna release a 750 was in 2004

let it go poeple its not gonna happen.

900 is the best size for the road...........trust me

cant see em developing an all new 800cc motor when they just got rid of the 900... they wouldnt flog a dead horse (old 750 motor)..it wou;d be too much trouble i reckon...

dont forget some GP bikes were 4 strokes before they all went to 2 stroke and now back to four...

Developing a new engine size for Moto-GP will have to have some road version for sales,look at the litre class at the moment.
Maybe i'm keen to see the 750 again too

A 750cc would be great , depending on the power/weight and build it could be a good all rounder for those people who want that bit more torque feel in their 600cc but not that uncontrolled feel you get in a 1000cc. (only from what Ive heard/read as I have not ridden either ) I would be keen to buy one.

I would want to see performance time sit in between the 6 and 10 though. Not like the gsxr750 thats does no better than the 600.

the only things bikes have got so far out of racing development is to do with bodywork, suspension and maybe sum electronics....

GP bikes have terribly long swingarms, so the chassis are not even similar...

didnt say i didnt like the idea of goin back to a 750/800..i just cant see em re-using the zx7r motor..it would need development to get it up to scratch, and a new EFI system..and a new electrics system...be better off starting from scratch...

Sorry mate was being more general,since moto-gp went to 1 litre: zx10r,slipper clutch technology filtering down to road variant

we all forget..they ALREADY make a 750
its a sweet engine..in the Z750!
(and I say that after a weekends testing)

now all they gotta do its find a decent chassis
and
instant sportsbike!

would I buy one....? probably

mmm Kawasaki have had slipper clutches in the ZX750 series since 1989 with the H model. Back then they called it a back torque limiting clutch. Now they call it a slipper clutch! Been around a while.
