Have to see it in the flesh I think. Although function over form is key

Bit's I don't like are:

The can - no biggy that gets punted anyway
The rear number plate set up - eliminator'll fix that and you'd do that anyway
Ugly fuggin front blinkers - WTF were they thinking
Shape of the nose - whats so hard about keeping it simple and pointy.

I actually like the high swept rear look, if you wanted to pillion regularly you wouldn't buy the ten anyway.

With the can done I'll like it better than the Gumby.

............Still love my 05 8) 8)

Judging by the responses so far, we won't be up for a group buy then....

Heres photo shop from the zx10 site... without the crap I'm starting to like it... and the orange looks good too.

I note that those Photoshops are both of the side of the bike which *doesn't* have that blunderbuss of a muffler on it...

...and sheepish apologies for the repost in General Discussion earlier. <smacks head>

Yes, its also without those hideous blinker / mirrors and cup holder tail piece.

All of which, if you bought one, would be removed..

and no probs about the post, we had about 5 of em.. ;)

Details are supposed to be appearing tonight at http://www.motorcyclenews.com/MCN/News/ ... ealedhere/

Personally, that second pic makes me want to eat my own vomit. But if it's like Soundguy's pic, in green, I'm waving the credit card right now ...

If you're going to put indicators on the mirrors, why not do it like the Ducati's/Suzuki's and put them on the fucking mirrors, not on the arm :?

D'oh ! Note to self - must read topic fully before sticking foot in mouth.

That styling doesn't do it for me, even in 'race form'. Looks like theres an '07 out there with my name on it, or even an R1.

Cheers,
Brian

I think you'll find that's most likely the 125. Note how skinny the tyres are and how small the front disc is.

Given that it's Raptors&Rockets, I'm amazed they haven't confused those spyshots for the 2008 10R...

That doesn't surprise me at all. With Honda's CBR125 already out I just saw photo's of a Yamaha 125 as well. Each will most likely have 25-30hp of pure GRUNT

I basically think that they've made a race bike first and then made it legal.

I cant wait to see what the performance is going to be like.

But overall, i think the Gen 2 is more street friendly for various reasons.
