The titanium headers are supposedly very close to the 'race' model.. and finish up with the 4 into 2 into 1 with a 55mm main pipe... The Leo Vince Pipe comes off this and reduces further to 50mm which is pretty much standard... It goes through a small resonator on the Leo Vince pipe which really takes away the loud raspy sound you hear on some exhausts, then it goes straight through the OEM Muffler, which is also straight through and approx 50mm in bore, only that it has been made sort of rectangle outlet. SO it is basically a standard performance exhaust system..

I do find that with the titanium headers and stainless steel muffler it does have a bit of a 'metallic' ring to it, but still sounds nice.. but not ridiculously loud. I have fitted the other Leo Vince Carbon muffler, and that does make the tone a lot deeper, a bit louder because the muffler body is smaller.. but I am sure performance wise it will not make any difference to what it currently is now...

Ok, some more work done on the track bike...

As the seat is very long on this model, there is heaps of room to slide your butt back.. maybe too far, so I decided to fit an official Kawasaki seat pad to add an extra 20mm to the rear and also tidy up the look of the normal race glass tail section..

So here it is all fitted up.. A very fiddly job to get right, as you have to make up a cardboard template before drilling the 5 holes required for the mount.. anyway.. it is all done and looks great. :D

Will be picking up the 'Woodcraft' rearsets this arvo and building them up (got my locktite ready !!) and fitting them also ASAP.. so more pics to follow.. also have a set of 'Speigler' Braided front brake lines coming as well.. hoping they will arrive end of next week..??

Macca.. ;)

Hey,

Yes the seat pad is from the OEM single seat cowl, but obviously fits perfectly on the race glass, and looks very pro..!!

And yes Russ, I am running the Dunlop D211 tryes.. I get them through 'Madaz Performance' at the island..

I also have a few Dunlop NTEC slicks in different compunds now that I will be using for the rest of this year.. all 190/55's and one front left... I was going to fit the 'soft' rear slick for our trip up to Eastern Creek.. but that trip still all depends on work committments etc.. It was gong to be in July, but now has been put off till the double day in August.. fingers crossed..??

OK Rearsets now fitted...

And they fitted up perfectly. I really like the Woodcraft rearsets as they sit in nice and close to the bike, no ridiculous offset, and they feel very solid.

I have set them approx 10mm up and 10mm back from stock, as I quite like the stock footpeg setting (on the highest setting). I can always move them up an extra 10mm if required, but I will see how they go from here.. Now just waiting for the braided front lines to arrive...!!

Must not Fap!!!

Looking good Macca, loving the black :)

Love how you have kept the pipe but have done away with the restrictions, although personally some insane moto gp style would look good too.

Thanks for the link Pittster...!!

I enjoyed reading the thread there, and all the pics.. not really my cup of tea there with the fairing design.. that is not my personality.. I prefer the mean, stealth subdued look really... and also he has spent a heap on stuff that I wouldnt waste my money on.. but still an excellent build up..

I am still waiting on the braided lines to arrive.. I wont be worrying about any more performance additions, but I will definitely be getting the carbon muffler fitted in time... but I will definitely be looking more into the suspension for further advancement.. not the front end, as that is really sorted now, and perfect for my weight.. I will look into the rear shock after I have done a few more miles on the track first to see how I go setting it up...

Apart from that, it will be ride, ride, ride and enjoy..!! :D

Bike is looking mean!!! I like the seat option as there really is a long way to slide back.

Are you keeping your ABS when you fit the braided lines? Or will you bypass the ABS with your kit?

If you go down the road of bypassing you will need to keep your ABS Servo plugged in other wise you bike will not rev over 11000RPM. Some kind of weird safety feature no doubt.
