I will know tomorrow after the dealer conference the exact pricing and specifications for the bike. Rest assured I will post the information as it comes to hand. The indication so far is that they will be under $6k on the road, this is speculative however but there is no doubt it is going to storm the 259 learner market. Yamaha are no longer bringing in their 125 after they saw this bike ha ha! More information tomorrow

Honda are running around in circles trying to find a way to combat the new Ninja. It's pretty much a forgone conclusion that they are going to lose a lot of market share in this area. Look out for massive price reductions on an already cheap motorcycle (Cheap in all forms of the word), and watch the Ninja take it's rightful place at the top of the ladder.

Ok, just had word from the Dealer Conference that the Ninja 250 will retail for $6,490 + ORC. This equates to $7,354 on road by my calculations so will probably be advertised at $6,990 or close to it There is a little room for negotiation however but this is still a bit more expensive than i would have liked. You heard it here first.

ZX10 will be $18,990 + ORC which is $20,612 the same as for the '07. package deal for KSRC members is being negotiated already....

Another interesting piece of information to hand: The 250 motor has been re-tuned and now boasts a 30% increase in power in the mid0-range over the GPX/ZZR ratings. NICE!

thats a good start!!

wot does that give it?? 35-38hp??

if they could get it closer to say a cbr250 , a brand new $6500 bike (compared to a 15yo $7000 bike) it is gunna be a bloody ripper..as long as people realise what a great bike this could potentially be!!

Yeah, and it's going to be interesting to see where they got that extra power from...

I understand that the Aus market is a lot smaller than the US one but are we being ripped...?

The Ninja 250 is advertised at $3500 US on the US Kawasaki Site
Thats $3900 Aus..

The 08 ZX10r is advertised at $11550..
Thats $12850.. Aus
A big difference to the $18990
