To the OP..

Ive found the best way to go about this is not to look at a particular brand as different stores tend to have good deals going on a whole variety of exhausts.

So while your heart is set on Akrapovic and I can see why that is the case - you might find a sweet deal on an exhaust from another manufacturer.

Im sure youve heard this advice before but just thought id mention it again!

Couldn't agree more Neka .... an aftermarket can's not just a noisemaker / horsepower releaser / weight saver, it's about what works for you.

Find one you like, cough up for it and enjoy it every time you ride your bike.

If youve got money to burn sure go ahead! But Neka better off to see/hear/stroke as many exhausts as possible before making the decision yes?

I think people go I like brand A coz... everyone else says they like brand A.. Always pays to look at the alternatives! Might save some bucks and make your bike a wee bit more individual.

Im getting a sweet deal on my arrow exhaust - was looking at Akrapovic, Micron, Hindle, Muzzys, Leo Vince etc but couldnt pass up the price I could get it for. Did a fair bit of reading on lots of forums and everyone who owns one is very happy with it (including the cashed up seppo's who change their exhausts more often than their undies) so decided to go for it.

mate ive got a can none of u will of heard of coming into the country...why??
1.i love it
2. its individual.

i hate being a sheep..and yes this can was $1600 a pair, and i coulda got an akro, or micron,or sum other shit for $1200 or less, but i wanted this can, so i saved for a few more weeks...

why do the seppo's change there can so often?? cos every other prick has the same can... or they go out and buy the one they REALLY want...

lets remeber that bikes arent cheap... if u want a cheap can, u get a cheap can... but if u want a nice sounding, nice looking can, go buy the fucking can u want (not simply what is on special)

rant over

Seppos change theirs all the time coz shits cheap and a larger majority of riders over there seem to be posers ;)

But their loss is our gain - nearly picked up a mint condition titanium sato slip-on for the 10R for $250US but couldnt convince the fella to ship it over to Australia *grumble*

hahaha thats ok if u really want the can..but if u really want an akro for example, then uve just wasted $250 that u could of put towards the can that u want...u catch my drift??

i decided to go without for a little while till i could come up with the extra $$...then i apid for it, and now im *patiently* waiting for it...

was told 10 day turnaround from UK..that was on 27/3..so its been abt 14 days so far (public hols etc included) but when i emailed him yesterday, he said "10 days mate"....

bloody poms...

well after a bit of to-ing and fro-ing.... ive decided to go for the two brothers carbon slip on... i had a great price on the akra, but went for the two bro's for the below reasons:
1) absolute bargain of a price - $674US shipped to australia
2) the look!!
3) comes with a fender eliminator and indicator kit to suit thats worth around $150US on ebay... therefore no need to purchase one seperately, and fit it after
4) the sound
5) did i mention the look.... :supz:

I had a price of $500US for the akra shipped, but couldnt go past that price for the two bro's...

Well done portaz - you won't be disappointed. That's an excellent price on the 2 Bros!

Every time you look at your baby, you'll grin and think "Damn, that's sexy and perfect as hell" instead of thinking "Yeah, it looks good". I still break out into a huge grin when I see mine, and it's all because I waited for what I really wanted, instead of compromising and getting something that was 'near enough' to my dream. And if your dream was the Akra, I'd be saying the same thing (while secretly thinking you had bad taste ;))
