i've ridden a 09 zx-6r on the back roads a few times and i thought it was gutless as all fuk , it seemed a real effort to get it over 200km/h but its the bike that got me onto a kawasaki in the first place as i really liked the handling of it , i'm finding my zx-10 a little bit gutless on the road sometimes ,it just doesnt have the blow your mind factor , but that's after coming off a busa with a huge torque curve and unlimited acceleration. I was happy to drop down to thousand for better handling and less bike weight overall but i do miss the grunt of larger engines.

When my bike lacks power, I just rev it past 4000rpm for a little while!!! ;)

Said it better than me,. Except I have kept the 12r, huge loads of power all the way from 4k rpm.
However the handling of the 10 is out there and is faster in that sense, at least this model.
Zx6 trackbike arriving this week with ohlins goodies on board so I think Iam going to be pleasantly surprised again.

Well, not having a 14 option, (biggest is really best) ;)
I had to go with option two... had a 10, now got a 6, but as others have said, 10r for the road and 6r for the track IMO. I don't think I could ever go back to a 6 on the road......

and my 636 tracky is for sale ;) see here http://www.ksrc-au.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=32820

If it's a late model fit a TRE and drop a tooth on the front sprocket. You will have all the grunt down low you will need.

EDIT: I just realised after looking at the other thread that you have a 2010 model. Kawasaki cut the power on them under 6000rpm in the first four gears from the factory so people that can't ride don't hurt themselves. After fitting a slip on on ours it improved acceleration down low considerably(there's a servo that closes a valve in the stock muffler that limits power down low even further!). A TRE (timing retard eliminator) and dropping a tooth on the front would completely change the bike down low but Leanne hasn't bothered doing this on hers as she never drops below 6000rpm when she's having a go so she feels it doesn't need it. If I was riding it all the time I would be fitting a TRE and changing the gearing as I am a lazy rider and don't change gears enough, hence why I have a ZRX for the road with 124Nm of torque. :D

Mate I found that tree at the end of a rainbow and shook the hell out of the Lepracorn asleep under it, not far from the truth really ;)

You forgot add the million pieces ZXR750H1 to the list mate, and is for sale. The 9 is also for sale as ICBF transporting it here.

Speaking of transporting bikes wait until you see the toy transporter winnebago, oh and the 110' Yacth for PI next year :D

Ok no Winnie and no yatchet....yet  but what a way to visit PI

At the track yesterday I was surprised how much less power the ZRX had than the 10. On the road it does more than fine, but at full noise on the track I was shocked at how slow it felt. :?
