Did anyone notice that the 08 has a compression ratio of 13:1 as opposed to 12.7:1 on the 07?

:) Seriously the great thing about these new sportsbikes is that they are coming with all the shit that you need(want) to be a track god.
-slipper clutch
-awesome radial brakes
-ohlins steering damper
-engine that give you far more power than you need but still delivers from low rpm

the only things you need to buy are
-rearsets
-crash knobs
-decent set of track tyres
life half lived is no life at all

Hey MadKaw, after talking to you at the show I have been investigating the group discount proposal you suggested. It looks like it is a screamer. I'll keep you informed with details. The only thing that may be a concern is the available numbers from the first few shipments, Early deposits will help this situation but are still no guarantee of getting a unit first up. Dealerships with retail units sold are first in line before anyone gets floor stock. If you could research how much interest there is from members than we can start doing figures. 5 bikes will be the starting point and 10 will be a better discount. I understand that members from other states have different registration processes so we will work on retail price only. Let me know what you think

The 2008 ZX10 has been officially priced at $18,990 + ORC which is the same as for the '07. $20,612 on road. Package deal for KSRC members is already under negotiation...

I sat on the new ZX-10R tonight at the Melbourne Kawa dealer meeting, I feel Kawa has re written the 1000cc sport bike book..... it felt so light and hard edged, anything 07 or prior is just now not good enough.

The new colours are black, lime and orange, I hear Cosway's are doing deals that can't be listed here. Also they are offering free race tuition for buyers of ZX-6R, ZX-10R and ER6f's by an A grade Superbike racer ;)

Production has been slated for December. Being typical Japanese manufacturers however, they refuse to commit to a certain date. It could be the start or the end of December which leaves a 31 day window. We expect to see the bikes in our shop sometime in February if the information supplied at the dealer conference turns out to be correct. Taking orders now... :)

It's growing on me, but we now need someone to ride the thing in World Supers. It pisses me off to see Frenchmen that can't ride getting a leg over a machine that should have a decent rider on it! I don't hate the Frenchies!!

I just wish that Kawasaki would inject some money into a decent team!
