the most comfortable sports bike, or the most sporty comfy bike - is the glass half full or half empty

to be honest i cant speak for a stock nine, they might be pretty average, but still about 30-40hp up on a VFR and 30kg lighter, with fully adjustable suspension (compared to the VFR with just preload on the forks and preload and rebound on the back IIRC)... slightly shorter reach to the bars on the viffer, but not worlds apart. helibars FTW if your that way inclined :P

oh and 9's are pretty indestructable, written off twice and still rides like a dream.... looks like a hat full of arseholes tho
if your going to kill a bronze, you gotta do it BIG!

Actually...

Kawasaki already build a compatible sports tourer...

Its called the ZZR600..

and NO, I am not talking about the ZZr600 that they stopped producing a short while ago...

In the U.S they sell this ZZR 600..... It would be comfier than the ZX7R, it is lighter, and set up a bit differently.....

As far as power goes, it should be fairly comparable to the ZX7R...

Warning ......... this 2005 ZZR600 may look familiar...

I noticed the US get a different ZZR the lucky bustards I like that look. I didnt realize the 9 was so light I thought it was alot heavier than that.
