ZX7R fairings

Tue May 02, 2006 5:26 pm

Hey everybody does anyone know somewhere I can get a left fairing from to fit my 97 ZX7R and maybe some frame sliders from so I don't have to buy a bloody fairing again

Try putting a post in the "wanted to buy" section on here. Its worth a try. Either that or ebay has a lot of ZX-7 parts on it.

Good luck mate

yeah kawasaki want $817 for a left fairing but I just found a fibreglass place that will do me one for $280 just gotta find some sliders to prevent this happening again

The best place for sliders is Ebay..
There are 2 types for the 7. The stronger ones that mount to the engine mount / frame require drilling of the fairing. The other type fit onto the upper fairing mount but aren't as solid..
It all depends on the sort of crash you intend to have..
I had the fairing bracket ones on mine, fortunately I never tested em.

BTW, what happened, the bike looked fine on Sunday.. unlike a few others.. :?

I've got RG crash knobs for my 7. I sourced them through a local bike shop but they got them through Motorcycle Accesories something or other in Sydney. I can dig up the name if you like. Mine are the proper ones that you drill the fairing for and fit to the top engine mount. I think the others are a waste of time as how strong is a fairing bracket - not very. I have a close up pick of mine fitted that I can post tommorow when I'm at work if you like.

ah yeah the bike was fine on sunday  But on the way to work this morning I was pulling out of the end of my street and a car was coming (I should have just waited it was stupid) so I gave it a bit turning left and because the tyre was cold it just spun like crazy and I basicly did a 360 down the road very embarresing
Anyway i'll never do that again.

I am willing to drill the fairing to get the good sliders
