Braided brake lines are good other than that theres no point spending a shed load of money trying to get an extra 5 hp out of a 250 unless some have gone walkabouts/missing.

Could go for a tinted screen or something and sevice the shokie and forks if it has a few years on it and you plan to be riding it for 12 months or so.

ive got an after market exhaust, 18 inch wheels. whats the point sell it upgrade to a 6 or 7

Just keep it well maintained for the year or so you have it, then get a real bike.

How much for a better exhaust? Ive got another 12 months until my full licence. The bike is in fantastic condition... Only 14,000km. I wanna get a nice fat rear tyre as well.

Stick with the skinny ones on it they will turn better than a fat one anyway, i used to like bt45s they where a okay thing and i could get them to ball up on the front if i was really getting into it and lasted okay for comuting as well.

gpr70s are even stickier but square off if you are comuting but way good if you are spending 90 percent of your time with the bike tipped over.

And go a set of braided lines for the front the diference is suprising and being able to stop is a good thing. :D

A bloke taught me that going quick had nothing to do about acceleration and a whole lot more to do with cornerspeed...he was right too he had a sr250 which has a virago motor in it and seemingly made less power than a whipper snipper but he used to wind it up to 100kph and not use the brakes through twisties and it certainly worked for him.

I can highly recommend a decent full system and tuning.. just comes down to how loud your prepared to have it though..

id believe it'd probably be more beneficial to just save your $$$ for your next big bike

no.

although i would reckomend pricing everything u'd love to do to it,
then open a savings account and put the cash in there.
and spend it on modding ur next bike

Thu Feb 23, 2006 11:18 am

I might get the braided lines and Bt45's tyres...

Thu Feb 23, 2006 11:54 am

Dunlop GPR70's oooh yeah

Pilot Race (soft compound) front and Metzler MEZ1 (or whatever replaced it) 150/60 rear. You won't get many km's out of them but realllllly good on track days. As Barrabob said its all about corner speed.
