Just wondering which bike would win on the road and track CBR600RR vs ZX636R both 2005 models.
I know that i have riden a CBR600RR 2005 model and its smooth with acceleration and cornering but i found that the CBR was a bit weak on power in the high end rev rang whereas the ZX would power through strong. Knowing this myself, i would think the ZX would beat the CBR but i may b wrong...

Unbiased the review may be! Informed, educated and from an experienced persepctive! Definately not!!!!! She speaks of seat comfort and handle bar heights!!! On a sports bike?????? She also get's it totally wrong as far as what a steering damper does!!! The only thing I could see which was factual, was when she said "either of these bikes are well engineered and extremely capable, it just comes down to which colour you like or wether you are a Honda or kawasaki person."
Plus, both these bikes are later models than 05, with the Zx being a 600 not a 636!!
Having owned an 05 636 and done 17500klms on it and having ridden alongside a mate who can cut similiar lap times to me as well as similiar road pace on his 06 CBR600, I would say the Honda is a little more civilised (in my mind read boring, with no bottom or midrange) and the Kwaka is a little more aggressive in the motor, with more pull from down low, a stronger midrange and a top end which just sizzles!!! They lay awesome blackies from about 10,000 rpm onwards
Right on Marty. To be honest, the average joe blow, wouldn't be able to tell the difference. It comes down to what ya feel comfortalbe on. As for whats the fastest... depends on the rider.

on the money!!!!! learn to ride the wheels off it and it would be faster than most thins on the road
i had an 06 636 and it was a beast, certainly wasn't lacking in power, i have also ridden an 05 CBR1000RR and that was very boring for a 1000 compared to the 05 Zx10R which is super exciting.
For some reason i can imagine the 600RR being the same as the 1000RR
im not oging to pull a whell stand on these wheelie machines, because i can't!
why is she so surprised its got a cat ? i dont know any modern sports bike that wouldnt have a cat. esp over there seeing as the lovely state of california has fucked it up!

yeah, momentary lapse in judgment...cant be bothered looking for the vid i was actually talking about... plenty of comments here now to make a decision.
Test both bikes and see which one you like more. I bought my ZX6R without even test riding it before buying, I didn't test any other 600s before either, because I wanted a 636 and that's that.
Re the video; it seems to be aimed towards commuter riders? Surely that comment about the CBR having a softer seat than the ZX6R cannot be true, Honda always have plywood and vinyl seats.
You can always ask Honda people what they think of the CBR vs ZX6R...
I'm like supra - I only ever wanted a 636. Like everyone here says, at our level its not going to be the bike that decides which is fastest - more the rider. You can look to the world supersport, and see Ten Kate's impeccable results compared to Gil, but even then its all a question of $$$ amoungst other things - let alone comparing your speed to professional racing.
And besides, nearly everyone has a 600RR and it practically looked the same for 4 years! (save for colour schemes and a bit of plastic in the air intakes) If your undecided, best to try each one and seeing what you like before handing over your hard-earned.

You sound exactly like me - that's what I did as well.
Nice to know I'm not the only one that thinks that way!
Hey Dauntless, your Stuart right with the Gulf colour CBR250? Don't know if you remember but I'm Jason I had the RS250 at EC midway through last year, from the CBR250 forums?
hahaha yeah that is me the lil' cibby is gone off to new hands, but not that i'm complaining.
But yes, i remember you! funny we ended up having the same bike but of course they are great bikes. Very happy with my purchase! we're you based from? we should go for a ride
