Hey all,
I installed an Xtasy TRE tonight on the ZX10. Followed the directions and found the VSS wire coming from the gearbox area. Joined the 2 TRE wires inline with the blue VSS wire and routed the cables etc. I did it properly with solder, heatshrink etc etc. I also disconnected the battery first.
Started the bike up and she ran with no dramas. Put her back together and went for a spin. First thing i noticed was that the speedo wasnt working. No biggy. Sort it later. Gave her a quick run (noticed fugg all difference btw) and half way home the FI light came on and the red light started flashing. She was running fine and temps were normal so i limped her home to be safe. Pulled the bloody thing all apart again (disconnected battery) and completely removed the TRE and rejoined the VSS wire as it originally was. All back together again, connect battery and the FI light is still flashing. I havent taken her out again to see if the speedo was running again. Thought id ask a few people here first.
Can anyone give me a pointer or some advice please? Its 11:30 and i wanna get this friggin thing sorted!!!
Cheers guys
Scott

You need to cancel the Fault indicator light usually a connection under the seat which is disconnected and tapped against the frame(earth) to clear the fault module - check with your manual

the corresponding number of flashes of the light indicates where the fault lies

The fault code its telling me is 24. Speed Sensor fault. Have to go put her back together and take her for a uick spin to see if its running again. (the speedo)
Anyone know if a speed sensor is an expensive thing? If that is the problem then XTASY will be coping a mouthfull i tell ya what!
Thanks for the quick reply Rossi
