Brakes and Fluid on 05 ZX6R

Well, I am quite pleased with myself..... after never changing bike pads and fluid before.... I managed to do the front brakes incl a pad and fluid change in about 15-20 mins! I was very suprised at how ridiculously easy the pads were to change......

I decided to change the pads and fluid as on my last track day.... I was getting some fade and sponginess at the end of the straight in the last third of the sessions..... So I decided to go with a set of EBC HH pads and some Motul RBF600 factory line fluid..... so I will see how the go @ OP on the weekend.....

I also found that it is easier to remover the screen to pour the fluid into the reservoir without spillage! Oh and I put on some cool Yoshi bar ends

where did u get the ends from ??? how much??? red or silver ?

Swabio, just be a little carefull with straying away from OEM Kawasaki brake pads. In my experience, most alternatives do work quite well in outright braking performance, however there is usually one big disadvantage. Disc life. I found talking to a few of the top racers, that all sorts of horrible outcomes have been seen from after market pads. Warping obviously, but also disc dishing!! I stayed with the standard pads, and just kept good fluid up to mine when I had it, and never faced any of the issues I mentioned. Let me know how you go anyhoo!!!

Sure will....... I thought about that... and I will be picking up a set of OEM disc's off ebay when I see some pop up.... there are always a fair few on the US ebay..... with stuff all km's on them.... so I shall get some reasonably soon I'd imagine as a back up.....

Dude, have you seen the price of the OEM brake pads? I nearly had a stroke when they told me.... Even now I cant remember what the price is because I nearly passed out!...

Besides... I bought my after market pads from Wayne Gardener.... so they must be ok...
