i need help!! i want to put a scotts damper on my 10 but im told u need to trim the key a bit to pass past the damper , i dont have a problem with this but the australian bikes have the microchip in the key. unlike the usa models. any one here know if cutting the key slightly in anyway affects this

You can also install the damper the upside down (turned around) or reverse the keyhole. IMO why bother, just get a hyperpro or ohlins or something similar........
