ZX636 Mods + Power Help!

G'day guys!
Well within the coming months i shall b obtaining a new zx636!

So i wanted to know wat types of mods to acheive a few more ponies. I kno of a few but i am just interested to know wat other things people have in mind.
I know of Exhaust brands, but i don't know which would b best! i want something LOUD, but also at the same time something that adds power! I have been told a few times a yoshi pipe is prob the best option! (just unsure thats all!) What about ECU's. Also wat difference does porting and polishing make?
Also wat about the stopping side of things! i Know braided lines is a must. What about a better compound pad...any brands? I also had another idea, I read somewhere that zx12R calipers are 3 pots each rotar. How would you go fitting something like that a 636... i kno its over kill but you have some mega stoping power!!
Basically i have some money to throw at the bike, and i would like to customize the performance aspect!

How about a full titainium system and ecu from Arata. They are claiming a 20hp increase according to their dyno chart. Fast Bikes long term zx10 had multiple exhausts on it and the Arata was best but a distinct margin. http://www.arata-ex.com/html/HomePage/info.htm#kawasaki
If you are willing to go to the expence of porting and polishing why not buy a 10? It'd probably end up cheaper and have more power than you'll end up with after throwing all this money at a 6.

I'd concur with Mike's assessment! Mate, seriously, better off spending the money on rider training or track days..... it will help you go quicker than having bling bits!

well if that is the case, my pref would be for the full titanium Akra system.... + PCIII, (don't forget the crash knobbs!) Oh and a geelong carbon craft tank protector is a good idea. A steering damper may be a good idea too, particularly if you are riding on some bumpy roads....

If you are after bits that look sensaitional, the OEM kwaka carbon (Not avail in Aus) is pretty damn good, I like the lower cowl, and the uper fairing inserts. Also Opp racing do carbon, but will prob be uber $$$ to get it out here......

yeah a cowl is a must... can u buy a Genuine Kawa one ? plus steering dampers, forgot about then!!
wat is this PCIII ?? and akra is an exhaust i assume, wat type of stuff can i buy from Melb, as i am from tas and they have pretty much jack S*** down here, i will take it on the boat interstate!

wat about something like the zx12r calipers or good brake pads... i will get the braided lines! I am interested to know wat exhausts and ECU's people have got on here 636 and wat they think... plus it has to be LOUD!! thats y i was thinking hte yoshi pipe!

Saki, I think you'll find the standard brakes more than adequete for the job! Braided lines will give better brake performance, as will a set of after market pads. But the standard ones are no slouch in the brake dept.

The Akra exhaust looks and sounds awesome. But it is all subjective. You may be better off buying from overseas as you'll save a heap. The PCIII is a Power commander, which is a must have if you get a full exhaust as you will need to re map your bike to suit the exhaust.

Def go a genuine cowl.

The 636 has a radial mastercylinder OEM, and Saki trust me when I say Swabio is spot on putting ZX12 calipers on would make very little difference compared to the OEM.

Go the PCIII and full system, but before you spend a cent.......take it out and try it. See if you seriously "need" more power or if you just "want" it, they truly are a weapon in the twisties. Sure we'll get taken in a straight line by the litre bikes, but any monkey can get on, duck down, twist a throttle and hang on.

i am a big fan of a noisy exhausts, so not only from an performance point of view, but also asthetic point of view, i would like the exhaust! And obviously need the PCIII to go with it!
Does anyone reccomend getting any of this done anywhere in melbourne as Tassie sucks!
Also original kawa cowls can be purchased from Kawa Dealers?

you want noise you will get that with a yoshi pipe

want a decent sound and across the range improvement then go with the ARATA and PCIII

want to stop whacking off about needing more power then just buy the 10 and be done with it

there is still a couple of 05 new ones available at $14k on the road and the 06 ones have dropped right down already

u got it all wrong jon. I am not trying to struggle to get massive power from a 600. I want a 600, and i wnat to put a louder exhaust on it, that create more power, I have read and seen a few tests with Yoshi pipes and they actually decreased power! Plus if i am going to put a louder pipe on it i want something that creates power! not just make a noise and lose power!!!
