Blinkers for a 96 ZX9R

Postby Poyda » Mon May 01, 2006 10:17 pm

Possibly thanks to a clumsey housemate, i need to replace a front blinker. Now this sounds like a simple enough job, but its more than it sounds, the holes in the fairing are quite large, and recessed into the fairing itself, and there is a part of the ram air system behind it, making the space very limited, so trying to find something that fits is a bit of a challenge. I could fabricate up some blanking plates, but they would probably scratch the paint. So its either get an original, or find something specific to suit.

Any suggestions ????????

Poyda, you can buy blanking plates for the fairings, about $15? for the pair, and then you can put on pretty much any indicator you want, or an aftermarket genuine style indicator is about $30

I was going to put my genuine ones back on about a year ago and decided it was too hard :)

Yeah i've seen the blanking plates since the first post, and have had some after market jobbies donated by a couple of mates, made 2 work from 5 so i think that will be the path i take, altho the flush mount LEDs on ebay look pretty bling

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll ... %3AIT&rd=1

only problem with this ebay mob, no returns if its no good!!! so whats the warranty ??? think i will just go with the blanking plates and the freebies
