Cost...!!
Well after trying and searching for a rear rim for ages, it became apparant that I was not going to get one that way. I went through my local Kawasaki dealer for a quote on just the rear rim and it was in the vicinity of $1200 plus..!!!!!!

and so after I picked myself up off the floor, I decided against that as well. (Turbo spent over 2.2k on his set of rims, Front and rear !!)
So I decided to go directly via 'Babbitts' for genuine Kawasaki parts. The rim itself comes complete with cush drive, bearings and inside axle collar for only $570. Of course you also need the disc, the traction control plate and the 4 disc bolts. Which came to around the $680 mark, then add shipping and you are up to $780..!!! Still there are guys selling second hand rims for $500 plus, so I dont think this is too bad considering this is still a new bike.
I am happy with the final product, but this is why the internet is killing the Motorcycle business. I would love to buy from an Aussie shop, but I am not about to hand over an extra $600 just for that.. I know the bike shops have to make money, and I dont mind that, but the middle man is ripping us all off bad.
Macca..
