Just lost one of mine.. no idea how - rode to work with it today and went to pop home in lunch and one's gone... probably a dodgy fkn sales rep we have crawling out of the seams here...

Anyway, long story short, I need some good new ones - where do I look and who can recommend me something (keeping 'bang-for-buck' in mind)?

Any advice would be good here - current gloves are Joe Rockets and they're great.

Hrrrm only one glove stolen.

Are any of your co-workers or sales reps into Michael Jackson? Particularly his mid 80s one-glove-with-fingers-cut-off look?

I've got Dri-rider winter gloves which I've been pretty happy with. They seem to hold together well and are made out of pretty tough leather.

Think I stil have one spare glove somewhere, might not be a matching pair but if it makes 2 of them you can have it

Lost mine at the football one day, probably chucked it at someone n disgust...

I find the Spidi carbosint ones really good, paid a bit extra but they have a long lifespan.

Ignore this - I found my other one - some random guy just had it - was all revved up to go get the Spidis, got on my bike and some guy was just holding it.

It was priceless - he saw me with one glove, realised, I walked up to him, took it off him (no words from either of us) and walked away

So now we can just talk shit, really.

Which gloves are the best, bang-for-buck wise, anyway?

At the moment I'm getting around with a pair of these Collins jobbies (in black though). Bikebiz had them on special and still do for $100. I've had bucket loads of Gloves over the years but these are some of the best.

Collins gloves are good value for money, and so are Joe Rocket at the moment, I guess because the are new here.

I currently have a set of the Joe Rocket ones, they are pretty comfy and the quality is good.

I got a pair of second hand astar gp plus gloves off a forum buy and sell and they seem to fit well and will stay on in the event of my having to go bitumen surfing at the track.

All double stiched etc, theres no point having gloves that feel like they will fall off the first time your hands hit the bitumen.

if u have large hands or really small hands ( across the nuckels) dont get ones with plastic or carbonfiber nuckel protectors because all the nuckels are the same size for s, m , l, xl and they dont fit very well

DriRider "Racer-X" gloves at the moment, they are good value and very comfortable......

When it gets cold (like today :shock:

FFS 6deg at 0900hrs !!!), then its time for the DriRider Highlanders.......they are just fantastic winter gloves....

Here is a tip - if your current gloves are a bit 'large', then instead of replacing them with new winter gloves (especially if you are a bit short of cash) - just buy some Thermolactyl (Damart) gloves........these are a really close fit, and can be worn under most gloves - instant winter gloves !!! The 'layering' effect works well, and the Damart material is designed to keep the cold out.

yea i bought sum of them Rjays inner gloves..they work a treat..i wear em under vented summer gloves (i hate thick gloves) and they are tops...

i also have had a few diff pairs..rivet gloves are ok and decent price, alpine stars i had lasted REALLY well but were not comfy and i hated em, my rockets are the best ive owned , as far as comfort, but they havent lasted that well (for a pair of $289 gloves)

the dririder ones i got are good for all seasons but its just a straight kevlar/leather glove. No fancy hard bits. It works well and is cheap. $70 from memory

Got a DAMN fine set of "Tourmaster" gloves thrown in in a deal with two Joe Rocket Jackets I picked up on http://www.newenough.com thay are bloody brilliant... not touring gloves at all... racer style.. carbon knuckles and they ..... fit like a glove! :lol:

not much dry riding gets done with dririder gear. maybe they should employ me in their marketing department
