I have a KNOX Ricochet back protector and it's rated as one of the best on the market, full back protection instead of just the spine and it's designed to take multiple inpacts and is reuseable after a crash.

Stace, there is more to a back protector than the brand

Doesn't matter which brand the important bit is you WANT one.

Most of the Bris KSRC guys have a Hi-Side special.
Phil Hi-side Leathers
32772226 bh.
0417 723799
High View Rd. Acacia Ridge.

Drop the KSRC name along woth Brett Malcolm for the $15 discount which makes them $80 each also he makes them in 5 different sizes.
If your under 5'6" go for the 2nd biggest one.
Phil exchanged mine No dramas, cause it was a little long.
Maybe this could be made a sticky ?. When its done.

Cheers Brett

haha never trust a man that says trust me :) mum always told me that.
but on the serious side, i was wearing a dainese one when i came off and it did save my back from really bad bruising. only problem is it was a loaner and i had to give it back and i really dont want to fork out the 260 bucks to get one.

ponti, to high side have a web page? cos i'd like to check out the stuff before making a decision.

FWIW foxy have only heard good about Dainese, not saying they're the shit and don't get another but that's the word I gt from a woman that tried several before settling on the Dainese.

Go to Peter Stevens sometime and try a few on, don't buy it there of course, see what feels comfortable, remember to take your lid with you too so that you know the top of it isn't bumping the lid as that will give you the shits in no time.
A good mate will bail you out of jail, a true mate will be sitting in the cell next to you saying "Damn, we fucked up!!!"

When i was looking at getting one i tried on a couple of the cheaper brands and the Dainese one.

The Dainese just felt better on.
I found some of the others just plain uncomfortable.

When you go t to get one take your leathers along and try it on with them.
Even see if the shop will put a bike on a pit stand so you can get into a riding position and see how it feels.
Whats the point of trying it on standing up with out your gear on.

Phil doesn't have a website but anyone that has bought one hasn't taken it back for a refund. Maybe Varden or Yipperty could post a piccie of one for us.
They are phil's design & construction & although they lack the professional look ofa Dainese I would prefer Phils design.

I have a Dainese, as does a mate who came off. I haven't had any issues at all - don't know it's there most of the time and my mate was uninjured. I have only ever heard good reports about Knox and Dainese.
