I got my HJC when I bought my bike, some of the colours on the helmet match some of the colours on my bike and it was cheap

Shoei:

1. Because I have a Shoei head
2. Because it's a well-known/quality brand
3. Because they have the only designs that weren't done by fingerpainting children and/or people on drugs

Bought a CMS helmet with my first bike, it's heavy and a POS. Now have a Shoei, no turning back from there :)

I wear an Arai, as it is the best fit for my head, of the top end Helmets available on the market at the moment.

I love my BMW Sportintegral helmet (except for the boring paint job), and the Axo wasn't bad (except for the problems as per my review on the website).

I think my next helmet will be a Suomy. Some of their current designs look great.

oooh a helmet poll

but we are missing choices of -
AGV (don't tell VRossi)
Bell (the F1 champs fave)
BMW (they have helmets as well as bikes )
XLite (for Carlos)
Dainese..(gotta match the jacket)
KBC (they are ok)
Lazer ..protected my missus' head
even though the helmet was farked

me?
I once had a Shoei head...but the one that sorta fits these days
is over $1 large and thats a lot to pay for sumfing that sorta fits

my head now likes AGV..just like Rossi

cheers
GOTTA LUV the 12R!!

What about Nitro.!!
Its gotta be one of the best value helmets on the market.
Has a tri compostite shell, removable liner, way to many vents (that actually work) and an aerodynamic lip on the back... glasses9.gif
It also comes with a very nice soft lined helmet bag and the tinted visor was only $30..
I use to be a "brand name" helmet buyer but with the competition so good, I don't have to be....

I will say its finish isn't quite as good as some of the others but know one will get that close to see... :D

I chose my HJC because the blue is fantastic! Also because it fits well, has a breath gaurd and has a material thingy to stop my chin getting cold (very important for long trips in winter). :D

Shoei, because it fit. Very simple!

Don't understand why none of the other manufacturers I tried (not *that* many admittedly) came even close. Seems odd there's only one company making helmets that fit a head shape...

Arai was my first choice, but they went a little over my head - ok price range. Got a Shoei in the end, they were off loading k1000's for $500, so I took it. It beats the old KBC hands down.
