Anyone had custom boots made up?

Postby rtyuiop » Mon Jul 11, 2005 7:31 pm

Hi all,

As the unfortunate owner of a pair of feet which are about a size 13 wide and a size 10 long, finding any boots which come close to fitting is proving to be a challenge.

Anyone had custom boots made? Any good? How much did it hurt the hip pocket?

I promise I'll try to post some useful info myself when I actually have some!

Cheers,

Danny

A quick trip to bali would have all your boot needs solved just take some photos of ones you like and they will make them for you, leave the boogie board at home.
If I rode my bike at the speed of light, what would happen when I switched on its headlights?

You may need custom boots, but look on the bright side. You'll never need to buy flippers.

I have a similar problem with the shape - I need a size 10 for the height and width of my feet but a smaller size for the length. I found that Sidi boots were the best fitment, if not a little expensive ($500 ticket price, I got them for $440). Remember that most boots will loosen up a little bit too, so after a bit of constant use a pair that are *almost* right should wear nicely to the shape of your foot.

My boots are very comfortable and I wear them 99% of the time I'm on the bike. The only time I don't is riding to/from work where I wear touring boots as I cadon't have to change them when I get to work!

Bugger - if they're not too widespread I guess they probably cost mucho dinero. Oh well, maybe I can find someone in Qld like mina's guy!

And as for the flippers, I'd be OK with it if I got paid for calling breakfast cereal fully sick like Ian Thorpe... But sadly, no!
