I doubt very much the Kogan cam would have anywhere near the picture quality of the Gopro 3 black edition.
But ok if your on a budget I guess....you get what you pay for. ;)

Amcn did a review on the big players and 1 cheapie.

I'd be going the contour 2+ I reckon.
Having been on a few trips with various cameras that fogged up.
The contour doesn't need a water proof cover and its 1 switch recording that can be done on the fly with gloves on.

The other day a friend sent me a review on this cameras, apparently the image sensor is not even comparable to that of a GoPro2... comparing it against the gopro3, and especially the Black Edition, is just a cunning marketing spin since they're only showing the stuff that doesn't really matter. The quality of the footage is definitely nowhere near as good...

Having said that, for the price is not a bad camera to have shooting some odd angles or facing back as you ride.

I've got a GoPro Hero 3 Silver Edition :x :x :x

The most expensive piece of shit I have had the misfortune to purchase :x

Read the forums, rang GoPro, downloaded 5 updates, updated manually, updated automatically, changed the card, formatted the card, defragged the card. ..

AND STILL the piece of shit is a paper weight

so if you can get something at a third of the cost AND IT WORKS!!!

Great deal!

My GP3 silver works fine, but the camera rattles in the waterproof case. Enough to drown out engine noise.

Anyone else have this problem ?

When watching on boobtube, it seems fairly common.

Another reason the contour roam2 looks like a good alternative

Its simple fix by adding some sort of packing...as shown below on my GP2 cam back.

Not far off that price. And ridiculous it needs a home handy man solution for what appears to be a 'known issue' when you look at a GoPro user forum.

Got an email, a generic one saying the latest update fixes all know bugs :o

Have done the update and "touch wood" after constant running just for the sake of it, both stationary and mobile, it seems to be working ok.

Will be a little while before I rely on it completely. I'll still use my Kodak PlaySport as well as backup.

Heres hoping ;)
