Shoei GT-Air Helmets

Postby Glen » Wed Jun 12, 2013 7:45 am

Has anyone seen these in the flesh yet?

I stumbled across them yesterday. For a road helmet they look pretty functional with some nice features.
Might check one out.

Similar visor concept to the Shark Vision R that I bought a while back but at 1/2 the price, I used to have a Shoei head but the Shark had so much going for it ..... worth having a look Glen ;)

Yeah I'll check them out as well. Is the Shark quiet? I tend to find the XR1100 fairly noisy.

I like shark helmets, only problem is that Shoei fits my noggen better & there anti fog pin lock inserts work like a charm.

That marquez has dropped down in price, if you do pick one up Wattie; I got a few spare tinted visors you may be interested in.

I want the x12. The new Marquez rep.

Think it's still over a grand

X12 Marquez, nice lid, although pricey.

I like emergency pull down cheek pads on the X12, this should be mandatory on lids; makes our job a lot easier by helping to alleviate secondary cervical spinal injuries.

Good thing about shoei, X12, X11 & TZ-R visors are all the same.

I hate my Rjays helmet, think its the same at the LS2.
It's physically smaller externally than my shoei, makes me wonder about its padding etc. It does pass AS, so can't be too bad.

I like the idea of the tinted drop down visor, but I think a proper tinted visor looks better.

Wattie the convenience of the drop down tinted visor is a winner, its bloody fantastic! not fussed on the looks either but at the end of the day the practicality is the important factor for a road helmet IMO

I've dealt with a tinted visor since I've been riding. It's not like I commute or ride at night often, so it's never been an issue.

Hmmmmmm
Marquez is pretty fuckin awesome!

The drop down visor is the way forward. Hard to go back after having that versatility.
