Heated Gloves

Postby Naked Twin » Fri Mar 22, 2013 8:37 pm

There are few varities from battery operated to ones that run wires through to harness.

Has anyone tried them, any recommendations? I am looking at them as an alternative to heated grips for winter

Cheers

I bet you have already ordered a set for those special times when you are alone :D

On a serious note, do you have the oxford grips? I have sat on a few bikes with them and little bit worried about the grips being to big and not being comfortable, thus why looking at this alternative.

I have tried winter gloves and inners or liners and both are too fat/ thick.

Yep I have and I do :)

I have the Oxford Sports heated grips, they are a lot thinner. Are you sure you have tried a bike with the sports grips on. The traditional ones would turn me off for sure as well

Oxford grips have a pretty bad reputation down here - lots of failing after only 1 season and sometimes they don't even last that long.

Its far colder here than Sydney and I can get through winter using inners (Damart) and summer gloves.

Some of us are a little more "delicate" than you Gos. Yes sure we might need to harden up, but screw that if technology will help me stay soft I am happy with that :D

No feedback on gloves but I have home made heated grips. Heating wire run through a car interior light dimmer switch. $20 most. Easy as!!!
