I've got a spyke leather jacket. Cost me $1k a few years back (I was feeling rich & stupid at the time). Has lasted *extremely* well considering it gets used every single day. Thankfully I havent had to test out its protective qualities yet, but it would be fine anyway.

Nice thick leather that has gone nice and soft. The metal tag on the main zipper broke off and one of the press studs on the sleeve has come off, but apart from that is still going strong. The removable liner keeps you nice and toasty warm during winter also.

So yeah.... I recommend them :)

A mate has a Spyke jacket and loves it. He tested it about three weeks after getting it - went over the bars in traffic by panic braking after not paying attention tot he road ahead (he swears he wasn't perving). He tumbled rather than slid, but the marks on the jacket are minimal and there were no issues with the seams/stitching, despite his considerable bulk.

I asked Phil @ Highside Leathers once about Spyke leathers & said yeah they are good but expensive(he knows his stuff) so if you can get them 4 the right price then go 4 it. Also know a guy with a 1 piece that has crashed a few times and they do the job nicely(as in protect skin).
