Riding with steel caps

Postby MrWasabi » Thu Jul 30, 2009 10:19 am

In a couple of month’s time, my work will need me to travel to a few of our warehouses to do some IT stuff. Being a warehouse, they require me to wear steel cap boots.
Now, in the office I have a locker with all of my office wear and I have dry cleaners in the car park so it’s pretty convenient to leave everything at work and ride to work with the proper gear (boots, jacket, pants etc)
Since the warehouses don’t have these facilities, I will have to bring my work gear with me, so I was wondering if anyone has tried riding with steel caps on. Is it any more difficult to find the gears or brake?

Owen you can also get shoe / sneeker based steel caped as well so there is plenty of choice, but I would be opting for ankle protection ... a high boot like this:

always have to wear steel caps and have ridden twice in them. on the zzr250/ gpx350 i wouldnt recommend it, was hard to get the toes under to upshift into gear. but then again could just me.
