Bought myself a Leather Jacket!!

Hi all,
Just back from the sydney motor show and bought myself {well xmas present from the wife and punk} a leather jacket. now i never heard of the brand but it felt nice and strong, SHOGAI is the brand, any thoughts lol bought it for $220, loved coz i havent seen anything like it and thought i wanted to be different even though i was going to get a joe rocket jacket.

ok so i jumped on the bike today with the new jacket and rjays wet weather pants coz it looked like it would rain{thank god i did} and headed in to go to pits.
Now the rjays are a bitch to wear, coz they are snug fitting adn dont like movement unless they are going down, the jacket is nice and snug too, but i like it like that just in case. only problem is that its xxl coz my beer gut and chest so i had to get that size{tried on the xl and was perfect arms lenght} ut with this xxl its length on the arms are just abit to big so its harder to have my gloves on perfect. The hump at the back tends to ride up abit and hit the back of my helmet but i think it needs to wear in abit, but overall very comfy. Inside pocket is great for the wallet, the 2 outside pockets are crap.

Hi Dave, do you have a direct link to the Jacket rather than their home page?
& at the end of the day you get what you pay for & if that is what fits within your budget then go for it ...... its still better than squidding!

I tried to find the jacket on the website but couldnt find them so ill have to take a couple of happy shots, Rode to work today with it, and not bad in the cold morning air.

Yeah Dave is right, you get what you pay for. Leather isnt always the best for any sort of weather! Sun its too hot, rain its to wet and heavy, cold its way to cold. But if u come off, its the best stuff to be in.

I came off in Draggin jeans and Alpinestarts TZ1 jacket.
jeans ripped to shreads at only a 50km/h off, so i will NEVER advise or wear another pair of Draggins as they are a shit!

but the leather jacket worked better than i expected and so greatful for it. I was sliding on my back and although my knee ws ripped open the top half where the jacket was didnt get effected and the jacket has a few scratch marks.
So i've gone to Alpinestars Leather pants too!

should I mmm I was thinking about alpinestar, but i do prefer the joe rocket stuff. Just waiting for the aussie dollar to fall so i can get the gpx2 2 piece suit

I had a set of draggins on when i had my off, they shredded, ill back up the never wear them position.

I got RST gear, the RSF rift jacket is made by the same people who make the alpinestar gear, and im told its owned by the same company.

I have got absolutely no complaints about my new gear. still waiting for the pants coz no one stock short arse sizes, but other than that, it feels alot more sturdy than the old joe rocked jacket, which sadly enough was a write off after a short slide from a 40km/h off. the seam almost wore through on the left shoulder.

I just got an RST rift jacket too!! i like it so far only prob is i got a pair of next to new RST leather pants (ebay) but they must be in a differant style or year. They're meant to zip together but wont. I'll have to change the zip on the jacket to make them work.

yeah well its been great, the only thing i dont like abou it is it only has the little zipper at the back and not the one that goes right around so ill have to get a rjays jacket now to match the pants i got from mca.

or sew a matching zipper on your jacket..... it's much cheaper
