X-Lite X801 or X901...

Both are awesome and I don't think I could go back to my old AGV after wearing my 801...

The 801 are around the $550-$650 mark and the 901's are about $100 more... Neka has the 901 if you want a second opinion...

I have a HJC AC10 'King Mingus'. It's pretty comfy & reasonably quiet.
Used to be $550, can get them on salke now for around $350-400.

But if I was buying again, I'd be seriously looking at the KBC VR1.
Nicely appointed interior, comfy, look the biz and well priced.

As for fogging up ... I recommend 'Fog-off' or 'pinlock' inserts = NO FOG ... EVER 8)

For the record: I'd have another AGV if the right deal came along and the ARAI NR5 is good buying if you can find one discounted.

Nah, but that was the only picture I could find of it. Monza imports have some stock, but it is limited.

I had a bit of a hunt around, and i think Neka has mentioned it before....
Nolan make the Xlites. Go figure. I guess they thought no one would buy them if they put a Nolan sticker on them.

spektr, you can get that combat one at the local kwak joint here in QLD! (Whales had it)
I've tried them all (as i'm in the market as well, my "welded shut" visor is getting to be a pain in the summer time) and i've found the Nolans to kick ass (Stoner Replica!) i like the VRI (esp. that combat one, but i figure everyone will get one, and they have all those vents and shit all over it that it MUST be noisy as shyte) so anyway... NOLAN here I come... removable pads for washing, easy change out visor, good vents, chin and breath guards, and they are well made (italian i think?)..... but then i also like the sharks.... hhhmmmmmm

Heres my current lid, I've had Shoei's, AGV's, Arai, even a Nolan and this KBC kicks their arses. It is a tiny bit noisy but best fit out of any of the current makes I tried, real comfy liner, easy to swap visors and the best thing was after a bit of barganing at Bills I got it for $310.00 including the mirrored visor (which are lexan BTW), and helmet bag.

I bought the missus a Laser lid a couple of years ago 'cause it was the best fit for her head.
She hasn't complained of excessive noise and the finish of the lid is quite good compared to the old style Lasers that were (to say the least) dogey!
It's lining has held up quite well too!

Cheers,
Pete

My first axo went like that... and after much moaning and groaning got the distributor to replace it.

The second has has lasted a while now and is still going strong.

If you read my review you'll see why the strap goes....
