Thor 50/50 boots

I am Thor...God of Thunder!!! Your Thor?.....I'm so thor I can hardly Pith!!
I have been searching for a neat short length alternative for a summer boot. The Alpine Star SMX's are well vented, but having a full length boot they get pretty sweaty on a hot day. Hence I have been looking for a short length summer style boot to use with jeans. SO for those hot days when I don't want to don the leather pants but still want the ankles and feet protected.
I liked a few different styles that I saw around Melbourne, but no shops had anything in my size! I had settled on what boot I wanted, but now could not find ANYONE in Melbourne with a size smaller than 9! I ended up calling the dist and as luck would have it an old mate now works there! He let me to go out to the warehouse to try some on. Once I find a Size, he then issued them to a shop who I paid and on life went!! I thought it was pretty damn nice of him. I guess it helps he is an old friend.
They are a bit of a Hybrid, not MX but not Rd! I think they may have been originally developed for the Freestyle boys who seem to like feck all protection.
They obviously lack the shin protection of a full length boot, but they look kinda like a trendy runner when on your foot (My missus words not mine).
They have two MX style boots clips to secure them which are adjustable just like a MX boot. The sole is solid but not chunky and they have a stepped heal to ensure the pegs don't slip out the back. They have perforated leather on the inside near the big toes and more ventialtion via a mesh style material on the forefoot and side. The boots come up just over the ankles with good solid ankle protection surrounding them.
They come in a few colours, I bought the Wheat coloured ones. The white just arn't me and the others had naff coloured clips!! I threw them on when I got home (3.00pm) and have left them on to make sure they have no tight points before I wear them tomorrow. They are bloody comfy so far. They feel very similiar to put on as my SMX Alpine Stars did when I first got them! Very plush!
RRP is $199.
I'll update with more comments once I have used them for a couple of Thousand K's!
