any idea? me got my GF to check out the new puma boots whilst she's at overseas, but not as "affordable" as they seem, so any other brand i can consider?

alpinestar SMX series any good? or the SMX3 series?

i'm yet to see one that's got the look as well as quality at a reasonable price

I bought Medal boots, custom made for your legs at $300 a pair, he's retired now so even if you want a pair, stiff shit :P

What are you looking to pay HP? You've got a reputation as a cheapskate (see your gloves if you don't believe me) so how much is too much? :)

HAHAHA , me thinking the price for the SMX is what i think i'll pay , off course if i could get a brand new SMX at a price lower than $400 would be great but if i couldn't then that's what i'm gona get, i'm checking out ebay as well......

but i was just wondering apart from aplinestar and sidi what other brands that ppl would buy.

From experience it is very hard to beat Alpine Stars. They have been the top of the line boot for longer than i care to remember in both Road racing and MX.

I doubt you'd be dissapointed with Alpine Stars

Joe Rocket boots are pretty good. Chrash tested

Just one point I would like to make. If you buy em wear em...

I see so many people one day in full leathers etc then the next day they're in shorts and thongs. Fu**ed if I can predict when some bastard is going to take me out. Maybe there is some drug that gives you special powers....

What size boot are you? Have a friend who has a pair of A'Stars SMX-R for sale, only worn once or twice. I think they're size 46. He's not asking for much either.

It must be the way you ask HP???? :? . I buy loads of stuff from the Romans at heavily discounted prices. It just means you might have to have the SMX71 instead of the SMX73's! And I always ask what is the best price they can do, then offer them a little less. If I don't think it's a bargain, I'll walk. Sometimes I come back and try again telling them I found one for XXX, will they match it. that usually works too! Look for run-out specials. they have em all the time in P.S. as they carry a large range and often get dead or slow moving stock which needs to be shifted. Same with the other shops. try on and decide what you want, then do a little runnning around to get the best deal. :) I refuse to pay retail for anything....except my groceries..although I would love to fill up my shopping trolley, have them run it through the register then ....make em an offer!!!! Imagine..."that'll be $360 thanks you..............I'll give you $300!"
