Getting leathers taken in

Postby mike-s » Thu Jul 24, 2008 10:24 pm

I've scored a cheap ($150) set of (brand new, unused) decent quality leathers that fit 90% perfectly. In the upper torso, shoulders and arms it's great, it's mostly ok on the legs. However around the gut and arse are a fraction too big (i could ALMOST have a jumper tied around my waist comfortably). I would like to get measured up and have these taken in to make them fit. Is there anywhere within sydney that is recommendable by anyone here? I'm happy to travel a bit if it means i get a decent job done at reasonable cost.

Another thing is to possibly get them dyed all-black as they're a horrid red/black/yellow scheme at the moment XXeyeslam.gif tongue9.gif new_shocked.gif .

You ride an obscure motorcycle with an obscure colour scheme and you are worried about the fact that your leathers might stand out in a crowd?

oh fark

Go with them they way they are and tell everyone you suffer from colour blindness.
I got a sweater for my birthday. I realy wanted a moaner or a screamer.

Mike that's every man's dream  eat as much as you can & drink as many beers as you want & pretty soon you will fit into the leathers no worries 8) Wattie you are our resident trainer, surely you could devise a strategy along these lines?

Mike

Try a Lady called Dushi Lenon 9648 4875. Shes's at Auburn and did some work on leathers for me once. I think she now calls herself Lenon leathers or something like that

Cheers

Cheers for that guys!

Oh and dave, no im not talking about your leathers, they're still hanging up in the living room. I'll bring them by your work one day this week (will confirm prior so your not riding that day, if you ever do ride to work that is). And thanks again to you for the loaners dave, much appreciated.

i'm with wobbly on the colour scheme Mike. We are spolit as we have Phil from Hi-side Lether repairers up here. He told me that dying is a waste of time so i'll guess you'll just ahve to paint that Spewie "Monstarosity" at last. ;)
