this is due to all the inport taxes the government imposes on suppliers and the extra layer of profit absorbed by the australian distributors

if the duty is lowered to $250 it will mean nearly ecery purchase will be taxed.
worst part is that if the duty applies (5% - 17.5%) it will also mean an extra 10% gst.
thats item cost, + shipping, + duty tax AND THEN 10% gst.

i hate 'em.

Bit of an update. After a couple of months being on back order and me starting to get the shits with online ordering, my leathers turned up the other day. 8) Size 50 (US) Joe Rocket GPX 2 piece (for about $550 Aust landed) and they fit almost perfectly (thank fuck!). They are firm around the top of the thighs but don't restrict movement and will be comfy once they stretch a bit without being too big. Quality and feel are very good, especially for the price. Overall, I am very happy with the outcome, despite the wait.

We had a group buy on Two Wheels forum for just that price for the same suit so I am pretty wrapped at that. I bought the one peice Team Kwak leathers for $650 and I think I did alright too. ;)

Spidi

Top shelf.

Crash tested the 2 piece at EC - held up well.
Yet to do the same in the 1 piece

Though these are on the pricey side even when ordering from OS
