I am sure I will find some disadvantages somewhere along the line, but that was one ofthe reasons I ended up parting with the cash for this one, as the waterproofing is part of the OUTER jacket. But it is removed unless it's either feckin cold, or pissing down! I can't wait to wear it up the snowies in winter, it's gunna be toasty with all the segments locked and loaded! I just hope it doesn't leak too much. They all leak eventually, but hopefully it will be in the 5th or 6th hour not the 1st or 2nd!!! ;)
