Leathers question

Fri Apr 21, 2006 4:28 pm

i found some leathers on ebay, well they actually no on there anymore, but i was thinkin of emailing the bloke and askin if he still has them
just some questions...
they are my size and all...
-is one piece good or bad? i would only be wearing on track days...

- they dont have knee sliders, is it hard to get some velcro stitched onto them for sliders?? (maybe its wishfull thinking that i will ever get a knee down...)

-and whats a good price? they like new, only worn a few times, no marks, just back and white quin leathers.

- and they dont seem to have any knee braces or padding in them, is this normal??

cheers

sounds like a low budget set but most leather places can modify them and put in padding and velcro for knee sliders, email the bloke and see what he sez 8)

i prefer zip together cos u get hot at the track and havin the top half hangin would be really annoying.

i wouldn't pay more than 100 bucks, if that, for what u've said.

Therres a bit to a set of leathers and you dont ride the best if they have you by the balls.

I asume in melbourne if your doing trackdays it wont be too hot of if it does get hot its okay because you will be cold again in 10 minutes anyway.

You need to be able to fit you and a all the armour inside them then be able to perform yoga in them, well a back protector takes up a bit of space anyway. :D

I think new leathers are the way to go.
You can then wear them in to fit your shape.
Give a bit here and there.
It's hard trying to get them to mould to your shape, after they have moulded to someone elses.

where are you buying new suts for $400 and in reality is a $400 suit any good ?

remember if you are looking at 1 pieces that you need 1 size larger than the 2 piece

but really have a look on ebay , cheap 2 piece dainese pop up on a semi reg basis at cheap prices

Hes not in Dandenong. We work next to each other & lives in Narre Warren. His shop is in his garage.

I've had no probs with my suit Ive bought off him. Have come off numerours times & apart from scuff
marks on elbows, its still fine. Suits were $550 when I got mine, so good to see its even cheaper now.

I'd stay away from his gloves & boots tho (unless ya strapped for cash). He sells alot more than he advertises.

Chk out his track bike if U ever go there
