Leather Repair

Fri Apr 18, 2008 10:19 am

I had a 2pc suit made to measure last year but the hips on the pants look like jodhpurs (jockey pants) and i need them taken in.

I've been a slackarse and haven't sent them back to the supplier so I'm looking for someone in the sydney area that can do leather repairs.

Thanks, Jenny

Alternatively. I have had some repairs done by a lady named Dushi Lenon at Auburn. She used to do all of MCA's warranty repair work on RJays etc from her home. She was pretty quick and her work was really good. DBT wouldn't do mine because they were imported. Her phone number was 9648 4875 but I haven't had anything done for 6/7 years or so

this is a lazy question but what would you expect to pay to take in the pants?

Blurr, I have absolutely no idea, lol, never had work done on leather before. It cost me about $15 to get the hem taken up on my Draggin jeans though.

6 odd years ago I got Dushi to sew velcro pads for knee sliders on and they were $75. She did a fair bit of work though ie totally pulled them apart, took the lining out etc and put them all back together

I keep having problems with my leathers shrinking!!!!! This usually happens after weekends away staying in pubs and eating pub food... can't put my finger on the cause

I had them made to measure and they must have thought being a woman they need to put in a lot of extra hip space !! I know they spread but not that much, lol.

I had the side seams taken in just below the waist to mid thigh, it cost $77. It sounds like a lot but I guess he had to undo all the lining to get to the sides.
