Worth their weight in gold. I have the non light reactive version - and not having a foggy visor on cold mornings is ace. Having one that darkens in bright light is even better,

So is there a good brand or are they all pretty much the same?

They're all pretty much the same - I had a fog-city for my last one.
There are some though that have a black sticky band around the edge to connect them to the visor - don't get them.
I can't remember what the brand was - may have been pro-grip. EDIT: http://www.ksrc-au.com/index.php?itemid=58 it was provisor.
That band gets in the way of your vision when you're tucked in - spend the few extra bucks and get a fog city.

I had an insert on my clear visor. It worked well but early morning when the sun is low and at a bit of an angle the reflection was pretty ordinary. The best thing I got was a Fog Off nose shield that velcros into your helmet, absoloutley brilliant.
