Dont trust those error codes too much mate. they can lead you down an expensive path.

Barge looks sweet as :kuda:

has to be - its bullshit how much fuel it goes through in 'limp-home' mode :x - yesterday I went for a ride with Pete - he could smell the richness when I pulled up next to him at traffic lights.....I am watching a couple of TB's on ebay motors and if they are still there on Thursday - will be ordering one of them. Its not too big a job to change these out.

cheers mate. I was a bit suss about the error codes as well but Shiny actually picked the TB as being fucked (well the servo motor anyway) - a few months ago. He was here one day with PC and I turned the Barge on to start it - he commented straight away on the weird sounds the servo motor was making...........reckoned that his 05 sounded way different ?

I heard his 05 when we stayed at his place back in December for the track day - yep, his Barge sounded much crisper when the ignition was turned on, the sounds coming from the TB were heaps quicker and sounded better. Mine - they are really slow and obviously something has been wrong here for ages. I will hang onto my old TB in any case - if another TB comes up cheap then I will grab that and see if the motors can be swapped over.

Looking forward to getting back to normal fuel consumption on the mighty Barge......

OK gronks - time for an update on the mighty BARGE yeh mofos

Many thanks to Brett at MotoGarage for sorting out the new PC5 for the mighty SportsBarge (2005 ZX12R). The old PC3 shat itself last year on the ride home from the Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit - totes fuxxored. Replaced with a PC5, rego has been due since April 2014 ;) - so the barge scored 6 months today....

Picked up from the shop today - mmmmm nice :kuda: 160hp at the back wheel after mapping, up from 153. A few years ago, at both the Motogarage dyno and the Gecko dyno, the 12 pumped out 155. 160 was about exactly what I was hoping to see.......so a happy camper today.

Went for a quick test-strop this arvo - FMD its great to be back on a bike that makes serious (for a 10 year-old bike) - horsepower. Its just so good to be able to totally hose anything else out on the roads...............

Here is the chart

Image

Looking forward to 6 months of fun now :kuda: :kuda: I have missed riding this bike.......
