Want to glue a few small pieces of my fairing back together. Funny, my hand hitting the fairing did more damage than it sliding down the road

Is there good plastic specific glue reccomended?
Some people probably have some experience with repairing cracked fairings

don't use glue, you need to have it plasti welded.

Another option is to check the type of plastic your fairing is made from - you may be able to chemically weld it. On my 500 and 900 the fairings are ABS - I dissolved some lego blocks in acetone, used a dremel to clean the areas to be mated and applied the sludge carefully.

Because it melts the existing fairing and fills any gap with the abs (lego) it effectively becomes one piece Allow it to set, sand back, fill (if necessary) and prep for paint.

Q-Bond has also been recommended to me but I'm yet to try it - have it sitting here ready to go tho.

plasti weld is another option....I just wasn't very good at it lol

I have used a soldering iron and a piece of old fairing to weld to good effect before, but I like the lego acetone idea, I will give that a go next time.

I use Plastex for all small plasticy things

I can vouch for plastex. Used it on my keyfob for my car remote. The plastic weld hasn't failed yet, just the plastic around it has finally cracked again, after four and a half years of daily abuse.

THE OWNER STEVE SAID CRACKS ON MY BOTTOM SECTION OF THE FAIRING WERE ABOUT $140.00 WELDED AND REPAINTED,THE TOP SECTION AROUND $280.00

good plastic weld, as above works the best, i have tried fiberglass repairs, q-bond great bond but very ridged, but nun have matched plastic welding.

I've had great results with Plastex on the ole CRB hugger. Haven't had to use it since, thankfully.
