Fairing respary / repair

Postby zx-10r » Tue Feb 23, 2010 11:18 pm

i am just wondering if it is possible to have a scratched fairing repaired to fill in the scratches (some a fairly deep) and have it resparyed. If it is possible, does anyone know how much this would cost for a side fairing and if its economical over buying a new fairing.

Thanks
Let the good times roll.

repairable yes.... cost at paint shop no idea........still have to be cheaper than new from Kawasaki
take it off prep it yourself.. little filler sand,,,little filler sand ....spray putty sand...then take to paint shop "REPUTABLE" for correct colour match...quote first ...tell them what spray putty you used so they dont use a paint with a solvent that will react with the putty.

Have you priced parts from US ebay? Heaps cheaper than Trevor Jordan

Sure can be repaired. Don't need spray putty. Hi-Fill primer does the job after you vibrate out the deep gouging. Factor in the price of OEM sticker.

Alternatively a complete set of Chinese fairings might be same price as the two (?) bits you need?
