Rob, had a guy do three on my Terri and he didn't remove one interior panel, awesome job and $300 was cheap enough. The same guy pulled 4 out of my RR Sport bonnet where the shit in his garage roof decided to fall on his 4 week old bonnet! Mate he was a genius, he had so many rods with balls on the end, he was literally 2m away at one point with a rod fed through between the exterior and interior skin using the distance as leverage

We could not pick the dents when he was finished, even used a little 2000 on a block and polish just to finish flattening the mark. 10 outta 10.
I know one guy up Castle Hill way that uses glue to grip the dent and pull, they usually pull out further and then roll back flat. I reckon iff you find the right guy you will sort that.
As for welding fuel tanks, no worries, just make sure they are empty and rinsed well and you will be right but don't forget the burning etc, it will fark the paint, may as well bog and repair cause you gotta repaint.
You should be right.
Enjoy.
