Stickers and vinyls

Postby knightrook » Mon Jun 29, 2009 5:39 pm

hey guys, my ninja has got a few scratches from the last owner, nothing major but enough that i wanna cover it up. First of all, what do honest respectable riders such as yourselves :D think of having stickers? (nothing stupid, like a bike brand label or something) also, any suggestions as to what i should use? Cheers!

make sure its from something on your bike if its a bike brand

ie no akrapovic stickers if you got amussy exhaust

clothing or helmet stickers i would think are ok... and if u gonna do it to one side, do it to the other as well... ;)

+1
Life's journey is not to arrive safely at the grave in a well preserved body. But rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting ...Holy shit...What a ride!

On the other side of the coin there's such a thing as "too many" stickers. I can thank the past owner of my bike for that. the stickers he put on the bellypan destroyed the reflective coating on some of the factory stickers on there, so they are only half what they should be (then again age hasn't been too nice to them either).

Check out www.cutgrafix.com, The guys name is Rob and he can create or re-create any sticker you may ever need. Don't be turned off by the sites "Ducati" involvement... they do do everything.

Agreed. There were a few patchup jobs when he must have been finishing up some of the more complex curves. Don't get me wrong, the overall effect was UGLY. But the majority of the work was well executed. I think the guy must have put a lot of time (and as S&W suggested, beer) into this creation. The other side was a near mirror image.

If you choose to have design labels or (stickers) made by a signwriter or digital label printer, ensure the inks are UV resistant (stops early fading.) 8)
