Postby ryan12 » Tue Aug 15, 2006 10:19 am

so i bought this 1998 zx7r and it is customed out with a nice paint job ect ect but my problem is i believe one side faring is aftermarket because both sides dont come together on underbody. the two faings dont join. i was wondering if there are any conectors or how do stock fairings conect? ithink if they connected it would look so much better please help me
i have been riding bikes since i had my permit and started riding dirtbikes since was 5 will never stop. even if mom doesnt like me doing wheelies.

The two fairings connect at the very back of the fairing, theres a clip built into them, theres also a screw at the very front that joins the two peices of fairing together.

There is a small fairing connector at the front that sits inside the 2 side fairings.
At the rear, in front of the back wheel, the fairings overlap each other and have a couple of tags to hook them together.

What year did you have Dave?? Mine only had the screw at the front, and the clip which joined the two peices of fairing (aka a hole in one, and a lump on the other)

Mine was a 96 but they are all the same.
The bit I'm referring too is 55028 as per pic.

the connectors are built into the fairings (they overlap).

If you can find a part number for something you need, just give Cosways or BK a call, you'll be fine (unless you're not in victoria)
