I've grown taller!!

Postby Colette » Mon Jul 31, 2006 1:09 pm

...well not really  ...

...a friend found me a ZZR600 seat at a wreckers which he got sculpted and reupholstered for me and this morning was my first ride on the bike since putting it on.

It's great! Amazing what a few extra cms can do

So the combination of heel replacement on yer boots & the lower seat should make you feel like a giant 8)
Have you got a pic of the finished seat?

Heheh not quite a giant but having a bit more of my feet on the ground certainly adds confidence. Should have done it sooner!

No pics, it looks pretty much like the original seat, you can only tell the difference when you sit on it.

I had a sit on Karen's ZZR with the lower seat and it felt weird as I normally don't sit on any motorbike (even 250s) with bent knees .

How's the seat comfort-wise, have you tried it on a long trip yet? Is it noticeably sculpted, or is the handiwork all hidden by vinyl?

I'm a bit reticent to try it as without a spare seat it's something which is a one-way process and if you don't like it, too late and stiff poop. I'm also concerned that it'd cramp the legs on longer journeys...

...anyway, let me know how it goes!
